PURPOSE:To eliminate a wasteful blank at the leading tip of a paper and enable to feed the paper automatically, by a method wherein a paper guide and a press roller are provided at the front surface of an ink jet head, and an ink- jetting position is located above and in proximity to the paper guide. CONSTITUTION:The paper 4 fed out by a longitudinal paper-feeding roller 9 is fed directly upwardly along the paper guide 7, and is clamped between the guide 7 and a main paper-feeding roller 8. Since the paper guie 7 consists of a low- friction member while the roller 8 consists of a member of high frictional coefficient, the paper proceeds onto the guide 7 without being bent, and is printed by a head part 1. In this case, bending of the paper 4 is prevented by only the nurve thereof, is fed upwards, and is clamped between discharging rollers 10. The rollers 10 are so located that a driving roller is located on the back side of the paper, and are rotated at a speed higher than that of the roller 8 to constantly impart a tension to the paper 4. |
