PURPOSE:To provide a catalyst for high temp. denitration of NOx by NH3 which exhibits high activity particularly at elevated temp. by consisting the same of a specific weight ratio of WO3 and TiO2 and calcining the same at a specific temp. or above. CONSTITUTION:A compsn. consisting of W oxide and Ti oxide in a 0.1-0.2 range in WO3/TiO2 based on weight is calcined at >=600 deg.C, whereby a catalyst for catalytic reduction of NOx by NH3 is obtained. Such catalyst is produced in the following way: A monomethyl amine soln. of tungsten oxide is added to the slurry of beta-titanic acid obtd. by hydrolysis of, for example, titanyl sulfate. The mixture is evaporated to dryness, then the dried mixture is calcined for >=3hr at >=600 deg.C, whereby the intended catalyst for high temp. denitration for catalytic reduction is obyained. |
