PURPOSE:To enable the fast fixing of an inner cable to an end fitting metal by a method wherein the inner cable and the end fitting metal are fixed by paste-like or liquid-like thermo setting resin under their normal condition, thereby a human body may not be affected by these chemicals and the performance of the hard steel wire of inner cable may not be varied. CONSTITUTION:At first, an end fitting metal 2 is fitted on an inner cable 1, an expanded part 1a is made at the extremity end of the inner cable, the expanded part is degrazed, the expanded part 1a is fitted to the filling hole 2a arranged at the end part of the cable fitting metal 2, liquid or paste-like thermo setting resin (e.g. epoxy resin) 3 under its normal condition is filled through the filling hole 2a, heated, solidified and fixed therein. Due to such a process as described above, the heating operation is performed at about 100 deg.C, and no hard burn may occur. Due to utiliztation of liquid resin under its normal condition, a sufficient immersion of resin in a clearance between each of the wire elements constituting the inner cable can be performed and a solid fixing of the elements can be made. No bad effect is applied to some physical characteristics of the hard steel wire under a hot temperature. |
