PURPOSE:To provide a toothed pulley, long in its effective tooth length and highly accurate in its tooth profile, by way of stretch drawing using a press, by shaping the teeth such that the thickness of the tooth flank is smaller than the thickness of the tooth tip and the tooth bottom. CONSTITUTION:Teeth are shaped by pressing a half-product supported by a pad 12 and a shaping punch 11 of a male die into a female shaping die 15. In order to make the tooth profiel highly accurate and to make the effective length of the tooth profile as long as possible, it is intended to prevent reduction in the thickness at the corner portion (r1) of the tooth tip and a bent portion (r2) of the rim portion. Further, in order to make the bending radii at the portions (r1), (r2) as small as possible, the tooth profile portion 8 of a product is compressed in the circumferential direction by imparting an angle 0 to the sliding guide portion of the female shaping die, thus preventing reduction in the thickness of the plate and obtaining a required configuration. Further, transfer of the plate thickness toward the portions (r1), (r2) is caused by rapidly stretch drwing the tooth flank C. |
