PURPOSE:To decrease friction of contact faces and prevent brake squeal by rounding the corners of faces of brake shoes or a disc pad hitting against the inner faces of the block and the piston and providing a groove including lubricating oil. CONSTITUTION:Brake shoes 1 facing at the inner face of the block or the faces 1', 2' hitting against a disk-pad 2 and a face 4 of the shoe hitting against the head of a piston 3 for moving the shoe, are rounded, and a groove 5 for including a labricating oil zone is provided on the end surface of the pad. That is, the face 1' of the brake shoe against the back plate 7 of a drum 6 of the drum brake is rounded. In addition, the face 2' of the disc pad 2 agaist the inner face of the caliber 8 of the disc brake, is rounded and not edged. By this procedure, sharp contact of the pad against the inner surface of the block can be prevented, and brake squeal can be prevented by the lubricating oil within the groove. |
