PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rain gutter supporting tool which can dispense with a mounting seat plate and make a gutter supporting tool body fixed in a horizontal state by only one kind of fixing rod without reference to the state of a mounting surface. SOLUTION: This supporting tool, provided with a gutter latching part 11 capable of supporting a rain gutter T, is composed of the gutter supporting tool body 1, which enables the adjustment of advance and retreat, and the long cylindrical fixing rod 2 wherein a coupling part 21 capable of being coupled to the body 1 is formed on the side of an end and wherein an embedded part 22 capable of being embedded in the mounting surface N at the edge of eaves and the like is formed on the side of a base end. The embedded part 22 of the fixing tool 2 is embedded in the proper place of the mounting surface N at the edge of the eaves and the like in order to make the fixing rod 2 fixed in the approximately horizontal state. A part 13 to be coupled, which is formed in the body 1, is coupled to the coupling part 21. Additionally, the adjustment of the advance and retreat of the body 1 makes the body 1 and the fixing rod 2 integrated for fixation, and a rain gutter A is latched for support to the latching part 11.
