The casing for insulated pipe pieces has parts of opaque, impenetrable material, pref. metal, forming longitudinal seams (6) and cross seams (7), with the longitudinal seams folded to form a flange and sealed by a lengthways sealing fillet gripping over the flanges. The seal between two successive casing parts (5) is formed by the parts having radial end flanges held together by clips, and sealed by a hand-shaped sealing strip, the bent-outwards part of which encases the radial flanges, and whose horizontal parts are pressed tightly against the casing exterior by tension bands. |
