PURPOSE:To make uniform the velocity of flow of exhaust gas irrespective of the amount of an exhaust gas quantity, by mounting a number of moving baffles at a top part of a tube body such as chimneys. CONSTITUTION:When a boiler is brought to a full load operation, moving baffles 8, 9 and 10 are brought to a vertical attitude by means of screw jacks 12, 13 and 14 to minimize a draft resistance. In the case of a low load operation, the moving baffles 8, 9 and 10 are titled at a given angle with the aid of the screw jacks 12, 13 and 14. The tilting of the baffles 8, 9 and 10 allows narrowing of an opening area of a chimney 1 to decrease the flow of exhaust gas. This method adjusts the moving baffles 8, 9 and 10 according to an exhaust gas quantity, and decreases the flow of exhaust gas so that the velocity of flow of exhaust gas is normally kept constant. |
