PURPOSE:To facilitate machining of a groove even if an operator is unskilful, by a method wherein input conditions are fed to the titled device and a cutter is operated according to an operation program. CONSTITUTION:When input conditions are fed from a power input device (a) after setting a metallic plate 1 for edge preparation, the edge preparation is performed automatically by the most suitably number of machining times, according to an operation program, under the most suitable conditions. When the edge preparation identical in a groove angle and root dimensions is applied to a large number of identical metallic plates, the machining corresponding to the input conditions applied at the beginning can be kept on by only pressing a starting button. |
