PURPOSE:To make uniform the velocity of flow of exhaust gas irrespective of the size of an exhaust gas quantity, by mounting a number of moving baffles, formed in the particular shape, at a top of a tube body such as chimney. CONSTITUTION:When a boiler is operated on a full load, moving baffles 6, 7 and 8 are brought to a vertical attitude with the air of screw jacks 10, 11 and 12 to minimize a draft resistance. In case it is operated on a low load, the moving jacks 6, 7 and 8 are inclined at a given angle by means of the screw jacks 10, 11 and 12. The inclination of the moving baffles 6, 7 and 8 narrows an opening area of a chimney 1 to reduce the flow of exhaust gas. This method adjusts the inclining angles of the moving baffles 6, 7 and 8 corresponding to an exhaust gas quantity, and causes reducing of the flow of exhaust gas so that the velocity of flow of exhaust gas is normally kept constant. |
