PURPOSE:To constitute the detecting device which can be used widely by a method wherein a signal detecting the primary current of the ignition device is delayed and the signal detecting the secondary current is inputted into a FF circuit as it is, while the output thereof and the same of a delay circuit are gated. CONSTITUTION:The primary current A of the ignition device is detected at an unit 1, the waveform thereof is shaped at the unit 3, and is inputted into a monostable circuit 51. The output thereof is inverted in the unit 52, differentiated in the unit 53 to set the FF to a point S and is inputted into one terminal of an AND circuit 7. Next, the secondary current B of the ignition device is detected in the unit 2, the waveform is shaped in a shaper 4 and the FF6 is reset to a reset position R. The output signal Q of the FF6 is inputted into the other terminal of the AND circuit 7. If the misfire is caused in the ignition device, the secondary current disappears, the FF6 is left in the set position thereof and the AND circuit outputs every times when the primary current is generated and detects the misfire. According to this method, the misfire may be detected surely and promptly without reference to the kind of the engine. |
