发明名称 WELD ZONE IN LEAD SHEATH OF CABLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a titled part to be welded wherein no microvoids are generated at all in the stage of welding work and the mechanical characteristics in the weld zone are equal to the mechanical properties of a lead sheath layer, by packing a Pb alloy contg. respectively specified amts. of Cu and Te in the part to be welded of the lead sheath of cable consisting of a Pb alloy contg. Cu and Te and welding the same. CONSTITUTION:A brazing material consisting of a Pb alloy contg. <=0.007% Cu and <=0.01% Te respectively is packed in the part to be welded of a lead sheath of cable consisting of a Pb alloy contg. usually 0.04% Cu and 0.04% Te. Said lead sheath is weldedin this state, whereby the solid-solutionized alloy formed in the weld zone in the stage of solidification is solidified without segregation. The above-described solid-solutionized alloy formed in the above-mentioned way is joined by melting thoroughly with the lead sheath layer of the base material without generating a defect such as segregation and microvoids and the decrease in the mechanical strength in the connected part is prevented.
