The invention relates to a plinth system for ventilating cabinet frames. In this case, the plinth is intended to guarantee an adequate possibility of ventilation and, at the same time, to serve as a cable space for the wiring of the cabinet frames to one another. For this purpose, the invention provides for each plinth of a cabinet frame to consist of four plinth feet (14) and appropriate coverings (15, 16), the four plinth feet (14) being arranged at the four corners of the cabinet frames. In this case, the plinth feet (14) consist in each case of an upper plate (1) and a lower plate (2), whose edges are bent downwards or upwards with a predetermined bending radius, and three supports (3, 4, 5) are arranged in a particular manner between the two plates. Provided on the two outsides of the upper plate of each plinth foot are U-shaped profiles (6, 7) for receiving the respective cabinet frame (17), which profiles are fitted with an insertion slope. This results in a modular plinth construction which can be set up in any desired manner. This plinth system can preferably be used in cabinet frames in data processing technology. <IMAGE>
