摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify an air suction system structure with a single air valve, by providing a mechanical link mechanism between an accelerator operating section and the air valve and by allowing the air valve to vary its opening amount in response to operating conditions. CONSTITUTION:An air valve provided in an engine air suction passage is connected via a link 24 with the end of a driven lever 32 of an air valve opening amount setting unit 30. An operating lever 31 is connected via an accelerator wire 25 with an accelerator pedal. By providing to an actuator 37 a signal instructive of an excess air ratio setting, an output shaft 37a drives a link via a lever 38 to displace pins 40, 41 relative to elongated bores 32a, 35a with a simultaneous change in a ratio of rotation angle of a driving lever 35 to the follower lever 32, the former lever interlocking with the operating lever 31 via a spring 36 and the latter lever interlocking with the driving lever 35. In this manner, it becomes possible for the air valve to change its opening amount depending on a magnitude of accelerator operation.
