PURPOSE:To perform coarse grinding and finishing grinding continuously and to simplify an apparatus, by providing a groove in a spherical body so that the groove is directed from the outer surface to the inner surface of the body, and facing rotary grinding stones, in each of which the outer surface is made to be a coarse grinding surface and the inner surface is made to be a finishing grinding surface. CONSTITUTION:Each rotary grinding stone 11 is provided with a coarse grinding surface 15, which is inclined toward the outer surface, and a finishing grinding surface 16 on the inner surface. Spherical bodies 10 are fed from a feeding port 5, ground by the rotation of the rotary grinding stones 11, and sequentially sent to the inner surface. The spherical bodies are ground at the outer surface so that the diameter of the spherical body becomes constant by the inclination of the coarse grinding surface 15. The finishing grinding is performed at the inner surface part. Then the spherical bodies are discharged from a delivery port 6 into an accommodating box 9. Thus, loading unloading devices can be omitted. |
