The display comprises a housing (1) with a projecting measuring bolt (2) coupled kinematically to the pointer (6) of the measuring system (5) and acted on by a damping device incorporating a piston (18). The measuring bolt (2) is supported in a sliding bearing formed in two parts (8,10) via the damping piston (18), the inside face of the bearing cooperating with the piston (18) to define an enclosed space (a,c) of variable vol. which is coupled to the atmosphere via a pneumatic resistance. The latter is formed by an annular gap (e) between the inner surface of the sliding bearing and the sliding surface. The enclosed space (a,b) contains a damping medium (21) having lubrication characteristics. |
