The invention relates to a dialyser and a dialysis method for the treatment of blood, especially blood flowing in a stream of blood, by means of a dialysis solution separated from the stream of blood by a diaphragm and consisting of a mixture of dialysis concentrate and water, in a dialyser. A proportionating pump (5) to which water and the dialysis concentrate are added supplies a dialysis solution in a fixed ratio of dialysis concentrate/water. Water can also be added to the dialysis solution obtained via a mixing valve (8). This mixing valve (8) is provided between the input (4) and the output (3) of the proportionating pump (5) and is driven by a servo motor (9) which is in turn connected with a conductivity measuring cell (10) located downstream from the proportionating pump (5). <IMAGE>
