PURPOSE:To obtain a titled apparatus capable of heat-treating a wire rod by utilizing the heat in case of rolling, which the wire rod holds, by forming the wire rod in annular shape after hot rolling, also forming a coil, and thereafter, executing air patenting when it is carried by a conveyor. CONSTITUTION:A wire rod 12 whose hot rolling is completed by a finish rolling mill 11 is adjusted as to its temperature by a cooling zone 13, and thereafter, is formed like a prescribed ring by a laying head 15 of a ring forming device 14, an inner guide 16, etc., and also is dropped onto an intermediate table 17 through a coil forming device 17. Subsequently, the annular wire rod 12 is shifted onto a roll conveyor 32 by a table roll 18, is subjected to air patenting treatment by cooling it from about 900-1,000 deg.C to 400 deg.C or so at a cooling speed of 2-7 deg.C/sec or so by an air patenting device 33 consisting of an air blower 34, a mist generator 35, a duct 36, etc., on the way of carrying, and thereafter, is formed like a coil by a reforming tab 32A, and is accumulated. Also, it is possible to form the annular wire rod 12 on the intermediate table 17 and to carry it out by a coil carrying-out device (the figure is omitted). |
