<p>3-(2-R5-3-R6-4-R7 -5-R8-6-R9-phenyl)-6-R1-7-R2-8-R3 -9-R4-2,3-dihydro -1-benzoxepine, benzazepine and benzothiepine derivs. of formula (I) as the isomers or racemate are new, (where X is O, S or N-R'; R' is H or alkyl; R1-R9 are H, halo, alkyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, hydroxy, amino, mono- or di-alkylamino, hydroxyalkyl, aminoalkoxy or mono- or di-alkyl-amino-alkoxy). Cardiovascular agents which have antihypertensive and/or antiangina activity and are also used to venous insufficiency (post-phlebitic syndrome, orthostatic hypotension), inflammation and peripheral (cerebral, pulmonary etc.) oxygenation troubles. The post-synaptic receptor antagonism is strongest when X is N. The alpha-lytic character of the cpds. is stronger when an 8-hydroxy gp. is present (rather than a 7-hydroxy). The cpds. have little toxicity; the oral LDo in mice is a few grams/Kg.</p> |
