PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a printed image by stabilizing ink particles through such an arrangement wherein the distortion of vibration waveform of a vibrating plate is reduced by impressing a DC voltage for correcting the deflection of the vibration plate caused by the pressure of ink overlapping with an excitation alternating voltage. CONSTITUTION:A DC voltage for negating the deflection of a vibrating plate caused by the pressure of ink is impressed on a vibration element overlapping with an alternating voltage for atomizing ink. In other words, an excitation waveform EA is overlapped with a DC voltage EC for correcting the deflection of a vibrating plate caused by the pressure of ink, and a voltage EB is impressed for excitation. By this, it becomes possible to set an operating point O'' at the middle point of mechanical deflection, and mechanical vibration can be made equal to such a degree at the time of no impression of voltage, and as a result of this, a vibration waveform Vo free from distortion can be obtained. |
