PURPOSE:To enhance a sealing effect, to increase storage life, and to prevent outside short-circuit during handling by making a sealing part in the periphery of positive and negative terminals higher than a flat part of a battery. CONSTITUTION:A sealing member made of thermoplastic resin formed in a window-frame shape is placed between the peripheries of a set of faced battery terminals, and the peripheries are sealed by melt-bonding to form a flat type battery. In the battery, the periphery formed by the sealing member 6 is made higher than the flat part of the battery. Since the sealing member 6 covers the peripheries of the upper part of a positive terminal 5 and the lower part of a negative terminal 1 higher than the flat part of the battery, deterioration in storage performance caused by poor sealing and outside short-circuit during handling are prevented. |
