PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for disassembling a process cartridge by which effective utilization of resource by regeneration, contribution to environmental protection and reduction of disassembling cost or the like can be attained. SOLUTION: The method for disassembling the process cartridge 15 has (a) a step in which the process cartridge 15 is fixed and set to a jig 200, (b) a step for preparing cutting tools 100a, 100b which have a shape almost the same as a shape of a joint between frame bodies at the time of assembling the process cartridge or a shape of an outer periphery of the frame body of a part 60 to be desirably cut near the joint and have sharp top ends (blade edges) 101a, 101b, (c) a step for raising temperature of the cutting tools 100a, 100b at or above glass transition point of a material of the frame body to be cut or of a material of a member for joining the frame bodies and (d) a step in which the heated cutting tools 100a, 100b are pushed against the part 60 to be desirably cut and the cutting tools 100a, 100b are made to enter in the process cartridge 15 by more than thickness of the part 60 to be desirably cut.
