PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unexpected impact sounds from being caused by a door opened or closed for taking out mail in a mailbox. SOLUTION: A door 3 for taking out mail is openably mounted at an opening 2 in a box body 1 by means of a shaft 4 and a speed regulator 6 made from a material with high friction resistance, for example, rubber or leather, is interposed between the door 3 and the box body 1 at a journal part 5 which allows the door 3 to be freely opened and closed.
