PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease of productivity caused by an erroneous attraction of a blank material, by providing a means for bringing the first fingers close to and separating from each other, apart from a motion of a feed bar, in accordance with a detecting signal from a detector, on the first finger in the first stage. CONSTITUTION:When it is detected by a detector 10 that a blank material 7a attracted to a magnet carrier 9 in the first stage 4a is not one sheet, or is not held in the normal direction, a finger escape device 11 is operated by switching an automatic changeover valve. Subsequently, apart from a motion of feed bars 1, 2, the first fingers 5a, 5a are separated from each other, and the blank material 7a separated from the carrier 9 is dropped onto a placing plate 8 through the fingers 5a, 5b. During this time, a transfer device and a press machine are operated continuously, and after one cycle ends, a vacuum cup 6 attracts the blank material 7a again and holds it up. When the detector detects the normal direction, the changeover valve is switched, and the fingers 5a, 5a approach and stop at a regular position. |
