PURPOSE:To highly precisely detect the boiling point of water in any heating container irrespective of the size of a water quantity, solely by heating for a specified time a temperature-sensitive element, in the vicinity of which a sensor is located. CONSTITUTION:A boiling point detector 3, located at a center part of a spiral heater 2 supported by a metal retainer 1, has a temperature-sensitive element 5, and is constituted such that an inner tube 7 is inserted into an outer tube 6 with a base. The temperature-sensitive element 5 is secured to a tray 8 through the medium of an insulating plate 9. A numeral 12 is heater for a temperature- sensitive element mounted to the upper part of the inner peripheral wall of the inner tube 7. After energizing of a heater 12 for a temperature-sensitive element is completed, temperature of a base of a heating container 4 is detected by the boiling point detector 3, and this permits the precise detection of a boiling point of water. |
