PURPOSE:To provide an ink jet recorder capable of maintaining a stable ink meniscus by such as an arrangement wherein a means for delaying time of rise or fall of pneumatic pressure is provided in an air supply system, and the influence of a delay in time in varying pressure to be impressed on an ink storage is eliminated by said means. CONSTITUTION:An automatic pressure adjusting valve 22 is installed to a buffer tank 12 through an interconnecting tube, and the rise and fall of pneumatic pressure inside the buffer tank 12 are caused to slowly take place by the control of the valve 22. The amount of delay of pressure variation inside an ink storage 13 in response to pressure variation inside the buffer tank 12 is reduced and as a result of this, ink meniscus to be generated at an ink discharging nozzle is maintained stable. |
