PURPOSE:To provide a crank press which is reduced in size over the entire part and has less oscillations and improved performance, by interposing a crescent- shaped member between a slide which is suspended under specified pressure and a crank pin and reducing the size between the crank pin and the bottom surface of the slide. CONSTITUTION:A crank shaft 3 is rotated to position a slide 2 on the line connecting the axial center (c) of a crescent-shaped member 5 positioned at a top dead point, the axial line (a) of the shaft 3 and the center (b) of a crank pin 4 (figure A). The rotation is further continued to rotate the pin 4 in one body with the shaft 3 clockwise and to turn the member 5 while oscillating the same leftward (figure B), thereby moving the slide 2 downward against the suspending force of pistons 7. When the slide 2 is positioned at the bottom dead point, the axial center (c) of the member 5 is positioned again on the line connecting the axial center (a) of the shaft 3 and the center (b) of the pin 4 (figure C). When the pin 4 rotates further, the member 5 oscillates to the right and starts moving the slide 2 upward (Figure D). |
