The invention pertains to the field of medical devices and consists of a machine or gravity powered cycler (20) for delivering fluid to and receiving fluid from the peritoneal cavity of a patient during peritoneal dialysis. The cycler (20) comprises a plurality of bags of fluid (49-52), each resting atop spaced apart trays (45-48) arranged in a stack and supported by a vertical secondary frame (35) that is slideably mounted in a main frame (21). Movable pins (82, 83, 91, 92) mounted to the main frame (21) sequentially support the secondary frame (35) and an adjacent tray (45-48) until the entire secondary frame (35) and stack of trays (45-48) move downwardly past the pins (82, 83, 91, 92). The trays (45-48) include clamping mechanisms (55-58) engaged with the tubular ports of each bag (49-52) supported by a tray (45-48). The pins (82-83, 91-92) are fixedly mounted to bars (76, 77) slideably mounted to the main frame (21) and move either manually or by means of a solenoid to control the movement of the trays (45-48) and secondary frame (35) and thus fluid flow.
