PURPOSE:To execute the best light beam exposure simultaneous charging and destaticizing by a simple adjustment in case when characteristics of a photoreceptor are varied, by making an exposure beam incident to the photoreceptor through a charger and destaticizer, and varying a distribution of a charging and destaticizing function and relative relation of a light beam. CONSTITUTION:An exposure simultaneous charger and destaticizer is provided with a corona wire 2 and a grid 4 in a housing 3, and a light beam 1 is made incident to a photoreceptor through them. In this case, a corona distribution in the circumference of the beam 1 is varied by moving the wire 2 in the direction as indicated with an arrow A. The device extends the wire 2 to a block 9 screwed with a screw 8, and it is moved by a worm gear 15. In that case, when a knob 20 is turned, the light beam 1 and the wire 2 interfere with each other, therefore, it is detected by a beam scattering member 11a and a photoelectric converting element 13, and the adjustment is executed by the knob 20 in an area where no optical signal is generated to the element 13. In this way, the corona distribution is varied against the light beam, and the best adjustment of exposure simultaneous charging and destaticizing can be executed. |
