PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a western style stool-type toilet for adjusting the front and rear position of a toilet seat. SOLUTION: A sitting position is determined by arranging a positioning projection 12 on the toilet seat 10 on which the user of the stool-type toilet is seated. The toilet seat is slidable between the toilet seat 10 and a toilet bowl 30, so that the front and rear positions of the toilet seat 10 are adjustable. The position of the toilet seat is easily adjusted even when the fall position of feces is not fixed because of a difference in physical size or physical functioning. Thus, the inner part of the toilet bowl is prevented from being contaminated with feces. When feces and urine are independently collected, the fall position of the feces is fixed by easily adjusting the position of the toilet seat. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
