<p>PURPOSE:To prevent useless retrials, by displaying the absence of a corresponding word or sentence as well as input data and indicating the content of input of retrieval to customers, when no word and sentence corresponding to the input data exist in an electronic dictionary. CONSTITUTION:A key input circuit K1 is Kana (Japanese syllabary) input key group inputting the reading of Kanji(Chinese character) and phrase, and a key K2 displays a corresponding Kanji or a phrase in depressing the K2 after the input with the key group K1. In inputting ''A'', ''Ka'' (expressed in Kana) with the key group K1, ''AKA'' (expressed in kana) is displayed on a display DIS and it is stored in an RAM memory M4. In depressing the key K2, then the reading of ''A'' (expressed in Kana) of a reading storage section M12 in an address 0000 of an ROM memory M1 is compared with the reading of ''AKA'' (expressed in Kana) of the memory M4, and when they are not coincident, the address is added by 1, the result is compared with the reading data ''AKA'' exprssed in Kana) of the address and when they are concident, the display is done as ''AKA(red)'' (expressed in Kanji). In depressing the key K2 further, the retrieval is done for the next address and if no corresponding Kanji or phrase exists finally, the input data is displayed as ''-?''.</p> |
