发明名称 OPTICAL POSITION SENSOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To perform an accurate range measurement, by constituting an optical position sensor so that both end parts of a slit-shaped reflected optical image span a pair of light shielding layers which are provided to interpose a light-sensitive part on the light receiving face of the optical position sensor. CONSTITUTION:A lens 26 and a light emitting diode 28 constitute a light projecting means 29. The light emitting diode 28 has the light emitting part formed to a stripe shape or a slit shape, and the longitudinal direction of this shape is made vertical to the longitudinal direction of the base line to project the light to an object to be measured. In an optical position sensor 34, for example, p type diffusion regions 38 and 40 are formed on an n type semiconductor substrate 36. A strip-shaped reflected optical image 42 projected to the object to be measured is focused onto the optical position sensor 34, and both end parts of this reflected optical image 42 span light shielding layers 44 and 46. Thus, the quantity of light made incident to the light-sensitive region is not changed even if the reflected optical image 42 is deviated from a center line 48 in the vertical direction.
