PURPOSE:To simplify the operation of a device, by designating up/down and left/ right margin on a printer paper, and executing the print of a document with the optimum line pitch and character pitch automatically in an arbitrary margin frame. CONSTITUTION:A data input section 1 inputting data from a keyboard, a screen display section 2 including a CRT, an external storage section 4, and a printer section 3 are connected to a processing section 5 respectively to form a document forming device. The processing section 5 is provided with an internal storage section 7 and a control section 6, a character pattern is stored to the storage section 7 based on the document data inputted from the input section 1 with the control section 6 and displayed on the display section 2. An instruction data of up/down/left/right print margin and a paper size data from the input section 1 or the printer section 3 are given to the control section 6 together with the data inputted from the input section 1. The control section 6 calculates the line pitch and the character pitch based on the data, rearranges the character pattern stored in the storage section 7 and the result is printed at the printer section 3. |
