PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suture apparatus surely puncturing only an object to be sutured and indwelling an engagement member. SOLUTION: This suture apparatus 1 is provided with a soft insertion part 10 inserted in the body cavity, and a proximal operation part 20 receiving the operation of an operator outside the body cavity, the engagement member 16 used for the suture is stored in a puncture needle 13 in the tip of the insertion part 10 and a pushing member 30 pushing the same is inserted in the insertion part 10 and the proximal operation part 20. The puncture needle 13 and a gas passage 24 inside the proximal operation part 20 communicates with each other and a gas supply port 25 for supplying the gas to the gas passage is provided in the proximal operation part 20.
