PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic receptor high in photosensitivity and resolution, and superior in durability, and used for a printer and for the manufacturing of a printing plate, by adding a specified diazo compd. of a deriv. of 2,6-bis(4-aminostyryl)naphthalene to a photocondutive compsn. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic receptor is obtained by forming a photosensitive layer using a photoconductive compsn. contg. a photoconductor represented by formula I in which A is a group represented by formulae II-VI; X is an atomic group needed to condense with a benzene ring and form anaphthalene, anthracene, indole, carbazole, or dibenzofuran ring; Y is a group represented by formula VII or COOR<5>; R<1> is optionally substd. alkyl or phenyl; R<2> is H, lower alkyl, carbamoyl, COOH, alkoxycarbonyl, optionally substd. NH2, or the like; R<3>, R<5> are each H, alkyl, an aromatic or aromatic heterocyclic group; and R<4> is H, optionally substd. alkyl, phenyl, or the like. A photoreceptor suitable for a copying machine, manufacture of a printing plate, etc. is thus obtained. |
