PURPOSE:To decrease the time required for conversion, by constituting the conversion device so that the Kana/Kanji processing is done automatically on the way of input of Kana. CONSTITUTION:A word retrieving section 5 informs the number of Kanas JLKN of an input Kana partial string JL(K) started from a retrieval start position K among inputted Kana strings JL, and the number of coincident Kanas M1LN between a word Kana string M1L of a word M1 likely to be a coincident word M0 and the inputted Kana partial string JL(K) to a word checking section 6. According to the request of the word checking section 6, the word retrieval section obtains the number of coincident Kanas M2LN between the inputted Kana partial string JL(K) and a word Kana string M2L of a word M2 stored in an address next to that of the word M1 and informs the result to the word checking section 6. The word checking section 6 compares the values of the JLKN, M1LN, M2LN with each other, allowing to execute the Kana/Kanji conversion processing, while the operator is keying a half way of a manuscript sentence up to punctuation marks. |
