PURPOSE:To reduce inertial moment of a linear actuator by forming a cam unit at a rotary disc which supports a rotor magnet, thereby reducing the number of parts. CONSTITUTION:A stepping motor 3 is mounted on a base 1, with which shaft supporting pieces 2 are provided integrally at both sides. The motor 3 has ring- shaped stators 4, 5, and a ring-shaped rotor magnet 7. A cam unit 19 is formed at a rotary disc 8 which supports the magnet 7. When the coils provided on the stators 4, 5 are energized, the magnet 7 and the disc 8 are rotated, with the result that the cam unit 19 which is formed at the disc 8 is rotated. Thus, a pin 18 moves along the groove of the cam unit 19, a head frame 10 which is engaged with the cam unit 19 through the pin 18 moves on a shaft 11, and slides on a magnetic disc 14. |
