PURPOSE:To detect the position of a vehicle with an inexpensive and simple facility by transmitting and receiving a specific signal through a propulsion coil between the vehicle and a rail side. CONSTITUTION:Transmission/reception antennas SC1, SC2 which have an air core coil, a Hall element, a loop or a rod antenna are provided on a vehicle TR which is opposed to propulsion coils LSM1, LSM2. Signals are transmitted and received via the antennas SC1, SC2 between the vehicle and the ground, thereby detecting the position of the vehicle. The coils LSM1, LSM2 are composed of the same structure, and when the same current is flowed through the coils LSM1, LSM2, thereby allowing the coils LSM1, LSM2 to provide the same propulsion force at the vehicle TR. |
