<p>The disclosure relates to novel synthetic peptide and peptolide substrates having high activity for the enzyme collagenase. These substrates have the following amino acid sequences: R1-Pro-Leu-Gly-Ile-Leu-Gly-Leu-R2, R1-Gly-Pro-Leu-Gly-Ile-Leu-Gly-Ala-R2, R1-Pro-Leu-Gly(O-Ile)-Leu-R2, R1-Pro-Leu-Gly(O-Leu)-Leu-R2, and R1-Pro-Leu-Gly(O-Leu)-Ala-R2, wherein R1=H or N-protecting group, and R2=terminal amide, carboxyl or ester group.</p> |
