<p>Compounds of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or in vivo hydrolysable ester thereof have antibacterial activity:
<Chemistry id="chema01" num="0001"><Image id="ia01" he="32" wi="85" file="IMGA0001.TIF" imgContent="chem" imgFormat="TIFF" inline="no" /></Chemistry>wherein R is hydrogen, C<Sub>1-6</Sub> alkylcarbonyl or C<Sub>1-6</Sub> alkyl; R' is hydrogen or hydrocarbon; R<Sup>2</Sup> is hydrogen, or optionally substituted hydrocarbon or optionally substituted heterocyclyl or CXR<Sup>d</Sup>, where X is 0 or S and R<Sup>d</Sup> is hydrogen or optionally substituted hydrocarbon or optionally substituted heterocyclyl; or R' and R<Sup>2</Sup> together with the nitrogen to which they are attached, form an optionally substituted heterocyclyl group. A process for the preparation of such compounds and compositions comprising them, are also described.</p> |
