PURPOSE:To control the display position of a channel number on a TV display screen, by inputting a display position selection signal to a control circuit externally, obtaining a required timing position signal, and controlling the display position with this signal. CONSTITUTION:A counter 1 counts a horizontal synchronizing signal A, and a counter 2 counts an output of an oscillating circuit 7 oscillated in synchronizing with the A. During the counting of the counters 1, 2, timing detection circuits 8, 9 detect timings for plural times. The circuit 8 detect the start and end of the vertical display period, i.e., two timings corresponding to the upper and lower parts of the screen, and the circuit 9 detects the start and end of the horizontal display period, i.e., two timings corresponding to the left and right part of the screen respectively. Further, a timing control circuit 10 selects this timing signals with control inputs K, L, allowing to select the information display position at the upper left, upper right, lower left and lower right of the TV screen by changing the signals K, L with a switch. |
