PURPOSE:To achieve a less weight and a greater air tightness by making the surface of a rim molded with a reinforced resin smooth employing a synthetic resin coating layer. CONSTITUTION:In a wheel body 1, a rim section 2, a spoke section 3 and a hub section 4 are molded integral with a fiber-reinforced resin to reduce the weight. The surface 2a of a double-split rim section 2 is coated with a synthetic resin to form a synthetic resin coated layer 14. This enables stopping of irregularities on the surface 2a or clearances at joints to make the surface 2a so smooth that the air tightness is further secured at joints between the contact section 13a of a tire and the surface 2a of the rim section and the double-split rim section 2 in the mounting of a tubeless tire 13. This synthetic resin coated layer 14 also reinforces the rim section 2 thus effective for correction of the oscillation accuracy of the rim section 2 as generated during the travelling. |
