PURPOSE:To switch quickly the control between two arithmetic processors with one step, by using a wait control. CONSTITUTION:When the control is shifted to a CPU2 from a CPU1, the CPU1 refers to a control start address register 4. This action is detected by a CPU2 which is monitoring a signal line 5. The CPU2 uses a gate signal 6 for reply control to inhibit the return of a reply and sets forcibly the CPU1 under a waiting state. Then the CPU2 stores the control start address to the register 4 and uses the signal 6 to control a reply control device 7 and then to send a reply 8. As a result, the CPU1 gets out of the waiting state and starts the control at and after the control start address. In such a way, a wait control is used to switch the control of CPUs to shorten the switching time. |
