The steel is drawn off from a ladle to a mould through the tube. It has a conical seat which surrounds a conical part of the die. The tube has an annular channel along the periphery of the seat. This is connected with the joint between the die and the tube. It is also connected to the supply pipe for the protection gas. - Provides tube to protect steel during extrusion, from coming into contact with air.
