PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from being damaged, etc., by rewinding a file reel for a certain time, and reloading or attracting it to a column, in case an electric power supply has been cut off or turned on again in the course of automatic loading. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape 8 is fed out from a file reel 2 and is wound by a machine reel 3. In this case, when an electric power supply is cut off, automatic loading of a device 1 is stopped, but when it is turned on again, at first, whether the initial part of a tape has entered a tape path 5 or not is detected by a tape detector 9. In case there is no tape, since both a BOT signal S1 and an EOT signal S2 are ''1'', an auto load signal S3 becomes ''1'', the auto load operation is started. In case the detector 9 has detected the tape 8, since at least one of the signals S1, S2 becomes ''0'', a file reel backward signal S5 becomes ''1'', the tape 8 is rewound by the reel 2, and after that, the tape 8 is attracted into columns 6, 7 by a signal S6, and the loading work is completed. |
