PURPOSE:To manufacture the superconducting coil with no strain while eliminating the need for a hollow flat type copper pipe, to reduce flow resistance more than a hollow conductor system and to improve a cooling effect by spirally forming a thin beltlike superconductor onto a substrate constituted by a para- conductor. CONSTITUTION:The substrate 12 is obtained by integrally forming a thin layer of the para-conductor such as copper 16 onto a thin plate such as stainless 14, and the layer of copper 16 functions as a stabilizing layer. The surface of the layer of copper 16 is flat. A hole 18 is formed at a central section in the substrate 12. The super-conductor 20 is of a substance such as Nb3Sn, and takes a narrow beltlike shape and a shape that a continuous line is formed spirally up to an external end 24 from an internal end 22, and is joined with the surface of the layer of copper 16 of the substrate 12 by solder 26. The superconducting coil 10A is manufactured through a method such as the following one. The layer of the superconductor 20 is joined previously to the whole surface on copper 16 of the substrate 12 by solder 26 at first, and a spiral groove 28 is formed through cutting, etc. as records. A residual section among the grooves 28 functions as the coil of the superconductor 20. |
