SEMISUBMERSIBLE CATAMARAN

摘要

PURPOSE:To enable to keep a propeller submersed under the water at all times even under the condition that the diameter of the propeller is made larger than usual by a structure wherein the propeller is provided at the rear part of a space lying between right and left struts. CONSTITUTION:A pair of or right and left lower hulls 10 are submersed below the surface of the water and connected to an upper hull 11 by means of the struts 12 and further connected to each other by means of a horizontal connecting member 14. The propeller 22 is provided between the right and left struts 12 and mounted to supporting members 19. A rudder 15 is provided at the rear of the propeller 22. An engine is provided within the lower hull 10 in order to drive the propeller 22 by means of gears or the like. Due to the configuration that the propeller 22 is arranged between the struts 12 of the semisubmersible vessel, the propeller 22 can be submersed at all times even under the condition that the diameter of the propeller 22 is made larger than usual and consequently its propulsion efficiency is improved.
