PURPOSE:To carry out the detection of an account book in a constant state even when the reflectivity of a platen surface is changed, by detecting the reflection of light provided to the part of a platen through which the account book is inserted and the reflection of light from the account book by a clamp sensor assembly. CONSTITUTION:Two parallel grooves are formed to a hollow cylindrical platen 91 and a clamp lever assembly 130 clamping an account book is provided to one groove while a release bar 131 releasing the clamped account book is provided to the other groove. In addition, a strip shaped recessed part is formed to the outer peripheral surface of the platen 91 opposed to a clamp sensor assembly 29 comprising a reflecting type sensor and a groove B set to a predetermined state in the reflectivity of light is provided. In this mechanism, the reflection of light from the groove B and the reflection of light from the account book are detected by the sensor 29. |
