发明名称 RECORDING METHOD FOR THERMAL RECORDING MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance developed color density at the time of thermal recording and to enhance preservability after thermal recording, by contacting a thermal recording material with a pressing device using a metal roll from the surface side of a thermal recording layer immediately before thermal printing to apply heat treatment thereto. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording material having a microcapsule wall becoming previous to at least one of a color former and a coupler by heating is passed through a press device using a metal roll immediately before thermal printing so that the surface side of the thermal recording layer thereof is contacted with the metal roll to apply heat treatment to said recording layer. Because the reactive substance present as the core of the microcapsule or outside said capsule is heated to be reacted through the wall of the microcapsule, the components inside and outside the core of the capsule are efficiently contacted at the time of heating and, therefore, it is important to reduce the particle size of the microcapsule and to enlarge the total contact surface thereof. Further, in order to enhance the sensitivity of recording paper, it is advantageous to enhance the efficiency of a transfer process of heat from a thermal head to recording paper as a previous process and, in order to enhance heat transfer efficiency, it is pref. to enhance the surface smoothness of the recording paper and, concretely, calendering treatment is performed.
