A centrifugal pump has a pump housing 1 with an outlet 2 opening peripherally and a central inlet 6 situated at an end wall. In the pump housing, an impeller 3 with arcuately bent blades 4 is mounted on a driving axle 5, where the radial distance from the driving axle to a respective blade increases gradually from the forward edge 11 of the blade to its rearward edge, so that the rearward edge of the blades extends essentially up to the wall of the pump housing. Outside of the inlet, the impeller is provided with a releasable processing means 12, 13; 14, 15 for mechanical acting on the liquid to be pumped. <IMAGE> |
